WCC Clans,
Please excuse the slight delay in finalising the face lift of the WCC. The Web Site can nw be found here:
http://jturnbull.customer.netspace.net.au/
With limied web authoring resources please excuse our slow updates of all url's and web pages. Everything is finalised its just a matter of typing it and getting it uploaded.
The basic format is:
The WCC will function a bit like the ATP tennis association it will be a series of knock out tournaments throughout the year. We will run events where we see a need and will include results from other tournaments we feel are playing with a similar focus in mind, fair rules and a test of skill. Overall points will be allocated for 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 clan success. The points for all categories will be combined to give a measure of clan strength and at the end of the year announce the champions for 2005.
The 1v1 ladder is now called the WCC Challenge and is an ELO skill rater. It is used in a flexable manner to establish players level of skill. This will be used to help decide which players get the limited 32 places in tournaments and establish draws.
The first WCC tournament for 2005 is WCC Germania. It like all WCC events have a theme and maps and conditions will be used to realise the set theme. This tournament will use settings that give barbarian factions bonuses. WCC Germania has 1v1 and 2v2 categories. TRPL and CWC are providing a competitive environment for 3v3 and 4v4 play at this time so WCC Germania will not be providing them.
Please visit the new web site and get familiar with the new format. If you have questions please post in forums or email us direct.
Remember to get your clans 1v1 players skill ratings up and register for the WCC Germania. It will start before the end of June.
